   Essential elements in a Project Report


What to Submit and When
:
Following  is  a  check  list  of  basic  documents  required  by  KFC  for  processing  a  loan application. 
The  documents  in  'A'   category  are  to  be  furnished   before  registration  of application. 
The  documents  in  'B'  category,  if   they  are  not  given  at   the  time  of registration, should be provided immediately after that, at
least at the time of documentation.
 
A
.Two copies of application form duly filled.
.SSI Regn./DGTD/Industrial license.
.Project report as per proforma-1 for loan above Rs.10 Lacs.
.Firm registration/Partnership deed/Certificate of Registration/Memorandum & Articles of Association/ Certified Bye-law of society and its evidence for registration
.Affidavit of Proprietor/Partners/Directors.
.Audited Balance Sheet/Profit  and  Loss accounts of associated concerns/units, if any, for the past 3 years.
.Two different quotations for major raw materials.
.Three comparative quotations for machinery/testing equipment/other items, dies, moulds, etc. as required.
.Machinery layout/detailed specifications/catalogue consisting  of technical specifications.
.Plan and detailed estimate of the industrial building and other works.
.Quotation for electrification  of building 
.Site plan with building/layout plan indicating the roads.
.Feasibility certificate for power from KSEB.
.A market study for all projects where loan is above Rs.15 Lacs.
.Original title deed(s) / lease deed/rent deed.
.Encumbrance certificate.
.Copy of the document if any shown in the Encumbrance certificate other than the present and prior title deeds.
.Order of allotment of land/shed or both in case of industrial estate.
.Certified copy of resolution passed by the Board of Directors to apply for loan.
.Consent letter from any commercial bank for working capital finance.

.Bio-data of technical/management personnel.
.Income tax clearance for loan above Rs.15 Lacs.
.Building construction permit from local authority.
.Approved plans by the concerned authorities
.Latest tax receipt (land, building etc.).
.Certified survey plan from the Village Officer.


A Project Report in Brief
The Project report should contain the following essential details

.Land and location, Promoters, their back ground, reasons for the selection of the industry and product lines / solvency.
.Building: Plinth area, type of construction, cost of construction - separate for administrative blocks and factory - detailed plan and estimate along with plant layout.
.Plant and Machinery:  List of machinery with full description and source of supply and cost.  A layout plan of the machinery according to the process - cost of miscellaneous assets.
.Manufacturing Process and technical know how.
.Effluent disposal.
Utilities:
Power - source, availability, requirements and cost estimates of electrification and contribution to KSEB.Water - source, availability, requirements, and cost of arranging the same.
.Transport: Mode of transport.
.Communication : Telecommunication, feasibility of getting - cost.
.Raw materials:  List of raw materials, quantity requirements, sources of supply, controlled or scarce suppliers -arrangements made for a continuous supply.
.Manpower requirements with annual wage bill.
.Products: Product mix and estimated annual sales - local, through agency - distribution system - competitors and their capacities.
.Working Capital - requirements - arrangements made with commercial banks - requirement of margin.
.Cost of production and profitability.
.Break-even analysis.
.Projected balance sheet and cash flow for ten years.
.Schedule of implementation of the project.
.Repayment schedule.
.Detailed market study report should be produced by the promoters where the cost of the project is above Rs.30 lakhs.
